Letter of the Bloc 8406 of thanks
to the Deputy Bernie Ripoll, Australia
Toto the Deputy Bernie Ripoll, Australia
Mr Bernie Ripoll,
Federal Member for Oxley, Australia.
Federal Member for Oxley, Australia.
Viet Nam, 2 June 2006
Honourable Deputy,
Your 19-May-2006 letter (to the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam) of support for the Vietnamese fighters who signed the “Appeal for Freedom of Political Associations on 06 April 2006” and the “Manifesto on Freedom and Democracy for Vietnam on 08 April 2006” has caused a great joy not only to the signatories but also to those who are wishing and fighting all over the world for the human rights, freedom and democracy in our country.
Your letter has confirmed clearly to the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam that both documents constitute a historic opportunity for our country and the free circulation of them will ameliorate the political atmosphere and allow our people to evolve within a democratic society.
Your assertion, very sound and worth of praise, contributes to protect us who every day face the risk of being harassed, silenced, suppressed, even gaoled by an party-in-power well-known as an enemy, even a predator of all freedoms, because of its ideology.
By continually expressing the concern and the watch for the present situation of Vietnam and by reacting promptly, positively, favourably to our Appeal and Manifesto, you will force the communist party to respect the human rights in Vietnam, so that our country obtains real developments.
We thank you for determination of standing side by side with us in this struggle.
Yours sincerely,
Provisional Representatives
